“IFTM Power-Up Station” cheers up students for the new academic year
14/09/2020 1964/032REL/RP/2020

In order to celebrate IFTM' s 25th Anniversary and to express our care and encouragement to the students for resuming campus classes in the new academic year, Student Affairs Division of Pedagogic Affairs Department launched the "IFTM Power-Up Station" activity from August 24 to September 14 to cheer them up. Apart from promoting interactions between staff and students, the more important thing is to spread positive energy and active learning attitude so as to promote the right state of mood as well as a balanced life and learning.

The activity was led by Louisa Lam, the Registrar of Pedagogic Affairs Department, Antonio Chu, the Head of Student Affairs Division and Cassenna Chan, the Acting Head of Admission and Registration Division. By interacting with the students in the classes, they shared health information and distributed healthy fruits and refreshing drinks. IFTM hoped to remind the students to have good personal hygiene, to maintain a balanced diet and to do regular exercises. Simultaneously, students were encouraged to get prepared for the new academic year, to learn with the right attitude and to have positive energy.

Freshmen said that such "Power-Up Station" activity to care about their physical and mental health made them feel warm. Some returning students expressed that due to the impact of the pandemic earlier, in the face of sudden changes in learning and living patterns, reduced activities and gatherings and now class resumption, it was inevitable that they felt a bit anxious. Cheering activity could promote more interactions between staff and students as well as to convey messages that they all belong to the IFTM Family.

More than 1,300 students from both campuses participated in this activity. It enhanced student' s sense of belonging to the Institute and promoted a warm and harmonious campus. The activity was well-received by the students. IFTM will continue to have more quality activities in the future to further enrich student' s campus life and to spread positive energy to every corner within the premises.
