聯合國世界旅遊組織秘書長塔勒布∙瑞法依博士受旅遊學院邀請，於9月8日在旅遊學院舉行公開講座「旅遊業：十億遊客，十億機遇」，為旅遊學院學生、澳門旅遊業界、專業人士、學者及市民帶來核心旅遊業訊息。講座期間，塔勒布∙瑞法依博士討論當前不斷變化的旅遊業所存在的機遇與挑戰，他指出澳門旅遊業當前充滿機遇，期待澳門成為世界旅遊休閒中心。

During the meaningful charity trip with Action Oasis, we travelled for 3 hours by plane and 8 hours by bus. We finally reached the Inner Mongolia province which has rich natural resources and grasslands but is also suffering from desertification. Our destination was a school located in a small village far away from the urban areas. The school was not as nice as the schools in Macao. The books and the computers were out-dated and some of them looked shabby and worn out. The most unforgettable moment was the ceremony of presenting the donation to the children; their eyes were full of tears and gratitude. The children promised us to study hard and contribute to the society in the future. Their happiness touched my heart deeply and validated all the effort put into the preparations for Action Oasis. Dear classmates, let’s all keep up the attitude of thanksgiving and study hard to contribute to the society and the people who need our help!.

陶家俊代表學院參加華廈綠洲助學行助北京內蒙古扶貧之旅，在內蒙古學校交贈捐款儀式上；受助學生們答應澳門代表團必定勤奮向學的場面令他非常感動，同時感到在澳門學習的幸福，希望同學們常懷感恩之心，努力學習貢獻社會。

The Kowloon Chamber of Commerce with Chinese University of Hong Kong jointly run “Management Leadership Training Programme for the New Century” this summer from 7-18 July. A total of 160 elite students from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Chinese Taiwan and Macao were invited to join this multi-level training programme, which was a great opportunity for us to come in contact with and understand the social, cultural and economic differences between these four places. Since the development of science and technology is the next big trend, arrangements had been made for us to experience Chinese Taiwan’s internationally recognised high technology, China’s excellent investment environment and Hong Kong’s innovative business. In order to explore the fast-paced development of the Greater China, this programme was organised as a study tour visiting 7 cities: Xiamen, Kinmen, Kaohsiung, Taichung, Yilan, Taipei and Hong Kong. Through lectures, seminars, cultural exchanges and other activities, we were able to experience cross-cultural management and learn knowledge that could not be gained in class. This programme enabled not only our personal growth, but also career development as we expanded our view of global trends. .

2012年的夏天，來自兩岸四地的學生參加「新紀元行政管理精英培訓計劃」，本著交流探討的精神，從廈門起行，穿越一個又一個的城市，其中包括廈門、金門、高雄、台中、宜蘭、台北以及香港，從而認識、比較及吸取各城市的優勢經驗。

In order to facilitate the filming of a new promotional video for the Institute, enhance the sense of belonging and teamwork spirit among students and staff as well as strengthen the intercommunication between the Institute and our alumni, IFT is organising the “IFT Video Competition”. The storyboards of the winning videos may be considered as reference for the new promotional video of IFT. Therefore, the competition entries should include elements of campus life, extra-curricular activities, relations between students and teachers, teaching team, teaching and training facilities and student internship and development prospects.

All entries will be uploaded to IFT FACEBOOK for the 1st round of voting from 18 December 2012 to 12 January 2013. Students, alumni, staff and the general public will be welcome to vote for their favourite videos by clicking “Like”. The 8 entries with most “Likes” will go on to the 2nd round of selection. The panel members will select the winning videos based on the storyboard, creativity and filming skills.

為配合學院新一輯宣傳短片的拍攝，並進一步提升學院學生及教職員的歸屬感及團隊精神，加強與校友的聯繫，旅遊學院將舉辦「旅遊學院短片拍攝比賽」。學院會考慮獲奬作品的適用性，決定是否採用或參考其作為學院新一輯宣傳短片的藍本。所有參賽作品將於2012年12月18日至2013年1月12日上載至旅遊學FACEBOOK網頁進行第一輪評審。學生、校友、教職員及公眾可通過旅遊學院的FACEBOOK網頁中向參賽作品點擊 “讚” 進行網上投票，得票率最高的8份參賽作品將進入最後一輪甄選。旅遊學院的評審委員會將根據參賽作品的故事藍本、創意度、拍攝手法作為評分標準。如有任何查詢，請致電 8598-3023 或電郵至 sherrylei@ift.edu.mo 與旅遊學院公共關係範疇李小姐聯絡。

The Technical and Academic Support Division (SATA) - Alumni Affairs organised the Alumni Shunde Day Tour on 12 August in the hope to enhance and strengthen the relationship between the Institute and our alumni. The tour included longan fruit picking, lunch at a private kitchen, a visit to Asia’s largest arch and tasting of the famous Shunde ‘Shuang Pinai’ and ginger milk curd. This tour was the first sightseeing activity organised by SATA and was supported by many alumni. A total of 35 alumni with their friends and relatives participated in the tour. .

技術暨學術輔助部校友事務範疇為校友組織順德一天遊，希望透過活動加強及鞏固學院與校友之間的連繫，亦希望籍此活動讓校友相聚，歡度一個愉快的星期天。
