Prior to joining IFT, she worked as an editor of National Geographic Korean edition and a researcher at Gyeonggi Research Institute and Seoul National University. She has constructed her research portfolios in the area of place images, and further developed her area of research from the following approaches: place branding and public diplomacy; tourism experience and tourist behavior; cultural heritage and tourism; tourism education; and leisure. She has teaching experiences in universities in China and the USA as well as in South Korea.
