After completing a Bachelor's degree, Silvia attained a Certificate of Chinese Putonghua and Chinese Culture programme from the Beijing Language and Culture University and finished a Post-graduate Certificate of Education from the University of Macau and obtained Master degree in Tourism Management from Macau University of Science and Technology. Before joining IFTM she has been working as a teacher for secondary school over 8 years. She has joined IFTM as a Mandarin teacher since September 2005 and taught numerous customized courses and short programmes at IFTM. Besides teachings, she is also involved in preparing and developing teaching material for new courses.
