Vinita graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences and later obtained Master degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of New England. She also received a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Macau. After graduation, she worked in the F & B department of a 5-star hotel. Later she decided to pursue her career in the education field and worked as a secondary teacher. Her teaching subjects were mainly Home Economics and English. She joined IFT as an instructor in 2002. She currently teaches courses in Food Hygiene and Nutrition.
