To provide an understanding for observable changes in the demand for specific tourism product features and product bundles over time and to equip the student with decision and planning tools regarding the planning, control and management of the tourism product development process within the travel industry. Starting with a discussion regarding the changing nature of tourism products and the evaluation of travel trends students will be shown as to how existing and anticipated market trends can be translated into product planning exercises and the marketing of new products.
