Dietary advice of preventing cardiovascular disease

The temperature is getting lower and lower when the winter comes. Metabolism of body becomes slow, and vascular contracts abruptly. It is easy to lead to vascular obstruction, and then induce the outbreak or recurrence of the disease of heart-head blood-vessel. The key of preventing heart-head blood-vessel disease is to change the bad life style and the unreasonable dietary structure.

Preventing cardio-cerebral vascular disease in winter should pay attention to the following diet:

1. Increase dietary fiber which has the effect of reducing cholesterol. The dietary fiber-rich foods are mainly coarse grains, seaweed, vegetables and fruit, etc., and the common foods which have function of lipid-lowering are onions, garlic, mushroom, black fungus and celery.

2. Eat more soy products as soybean is rich in a variety of body essential phospholipids. Often having soy products, such as tofu, bean sprouts can prevent disease of heart head blood-vessel and good for our health.

3. Reducing intake of salt. People over 50 years of age, with hypertension, diabetes or chronic kidney disease, daily intake of salt should not be more than 1.5 grams. In addition, they should eat less junk food like instant noodles, pickles, canned food, etc.

4. Appropriate to reduce intake of fat and cholesterol. Try to avoid high cholesterol foods such as animal brain, spinal cord, liver, egg yolk, shellfish (clams) as well as software class such as squid, cuttlefish and fish roe.
