Dr. June Yang received both her master and doctoral degrees from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prior to joining the IFT, she was an Assistant Professor at City University of Macau after serving as Assistant Professor at Hong Kong Caritas Institute of Higher Education from August 2012 till July 2016.

Dr. Yang’s research interests include Hotel and Tourism Education, Human Resource Management in Hospitality, Tourism Management and Event Management. She won twice the Best Paper Award at two prestigious international conferences in Singapore and Cyprus respectively. She was the Course Director (Tourism) of the Vetting Committee of Continuing Education Fund (CEF) of Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) from 2013 to 2016.

Dr. Yang has working and teaching experiences in the hospitality field in Hong Kong, Macau and the Chinese Mainland for over fifteen years. Apart from teaching the courses at both master and undergraduate levels in Hong Kong and Macau, she also supervised doctoral dissertations. With more than fifteen years of involvement in hospitality, she is well experienced in organizing international events, receiving VIPS, tour guiding, and managing and coordinating public relation and negotiations.
