With an aim to encourage people to design creative souvenirs with local features and characteristics, Chinese and Western Cultural Creative Industries Promotion Association, Macao organised the 2012 Macau Tourism Souvenir Design Competition and set “The Memory of Macao” as the theme of the Contest. The event, which encouraged participants to incorporate cultural and regional icons into their designs, was funded by Macao Cultural Institute.
