Submission requirements

Language

The operating language of the conference is English. Simultaneous translation of the presented papers in Mandarin may be arranged.

 

Abstract submission

Abstracts should be no more than 300 words long and the author(s) should indicate which theme is the most suitable for the proposed paper. Submitted abstracts will be subject to a double-blind review process.

Full paper submission

Full papers of no more than 4000 words should be submitted according the schedule below. Detailed formatting guidelines for full papers is available here. Submitted papers will be reviewed (non-blind).

 

Notes for auhtors interested in journal publication

1. All full papers should follow the formatting guidelines for AAHM2009. This includes the papers intended for journal publication.


2. Papers intended for APJTR publication will go through a separate round of review once they are accepted for AAHM2009  and the authors will be informed directly by the journal about its decision.


3. Authors of accepted papers for APJTR publication will need to resubmit the papers according to APJTR formatting guidelines.  In other words, authors who are interested in having their paper considered for the APJTR first need to abide by the 4000-word limit (for AAHM proceeding publication).  Afterwards, if the paper is accepted for APJTR publication, then you need to re-submit to APJTR, following its formatting guidelines.

Author(s) need to submit a declare the following using the Declaration Form.

 

 

I/we hereby declare that the above-titled paper submitted to AAHM2009 is my/our original work, that the paper has not been published or is being considered for publication elsewhere and that I/we have obtained the necessary permissions, where needed, for the use of any materials from the works of others used in the paper.
By submitting the paper to the AAHM2009 conference, I hereby authorize the Heritage Studies Centre of the Institute For Tourism Studies to publish the paper or part of it in any format, including, but not limited to, conference proceedings and websites, without any additional permission from me/us.
