Objective: :

This course will teach relevant accounting terms and concepts as they apply in the hospitality industry. Students will learn the relevance of various transaction types and accounting principles, how to assign the proper category when processing a transaction, and how to track the financial performance of a business. Topics include : accounting principles and procedures, special purpose journals, subsidiary ledgers unique to the hospitality industries, elements of financial statements, maintaining financial statements, and analysis of financial records. The course adopts a practical, non-technical approach, making it the ideal course for students from non-accounting disciplines.

  • Payroll Accounting
  • Property and Equipment, and Inventories
  • Receivables, Payables, and Corporation Accounting

  • Analysing and interpreting financial statements, position and performance
