Objective:

Provide a basic introduction to the main styles of wine available to front line staff involved in the service of wine. The qualification introduces you to the technique of tasting wine and the characteristics of the common grape varieties used to produce wines.

Passing requirement:

Candidates must successfully complete a food and wine matching exercise, a 30 Multiple Choice exam and a portfolio of tasting notes in order to be awarded a certificate by WSET
