This course introduces the subject of heritage management and provides a framework of all courses in this subject specialization. The course will principally explore the underlying principles of heritage management.  It will examine how heritage management works and how it can form a useful partnership with tourism to manage the common resources that they both share in a sustainable manner.  The course aims to provide students with a framework for analyzing the complementary and competing demands made by heritage management and tourism business management.  How such demands arise during the planning and development of heritage tourism attractions and products will be discussed throughout the course using local and international examples
