Objective :

To deepen the knowledge of local tour guides in the area of Cultural Heritage so they can improve their ability and become a Cultural Heritage Tour Guide.
 


Course Outline:

  • Becoming a Specialist  Guide at the Historic Centre of Macao World Heritage Site
  • Understanding the Significance of the Historic Centre of Macao World Heritage Site
  • Conserving and Protecting the Historic Centre of Macao World Heritage Site
  • Interpreting the Historic Centre of Macao World Heritage Site
  • Guiding Visitors at The Historic Centre of Macao World Heritage Site: Appropriate Visitor Behaviour
  • Benefiting the Communities – How a Heritage Guide Can Help


Note:

  1. Applicants are  required to submit a photocopy of valid tour guiding license and to bring along the original copy for verification.
  2. Students who have successfully completed the Macao Heritage Tour Guide Course and Cultural Heritage Interpretation for World Heritage Sites, and obtained a minimum score of 70% in both final examinations, will be awarded the certificate of Specialist Guide for World Heritage Sites (Macao).  Click here for more information.
This course joins the Continuing Education Subsidy Scheme and is subsidized by DSEJ.   Participants should take note to the following:
  1. Only Macao residents are eligible to join the scheme.
  2. Participants should fulfill 75% attendance to receive the subsidy.
  3. Should participants retake the same course, subsidy will not be offered and declaration should be made to IFT . 
  4. Participants are eligible for two subsidised courses at a time.
  5. No subsidy will be offered for the third subsidised course and declaration should be made upon  application.
  6. Participants should provide correct and complete information.  Should there be any mistaken or false report, participants can be disqualified from joining the scheme and the received subsidies should be recouped.
