This course is the continuation of Accounting I. Knowledge on different elements within the accounting process and of the financial statements will be covered in depth, including the cash and cash equivalents, account receivables and payables, current and non-current assets and liabilities, as well as capital, retained earnings and dividends.
Methodologies on accrual and provision accounting will be introduced with emphasis to depreciation, amortization, depletion and bad / doubtful debts. Other areas on plant assets, inventories, cost of goods sold, CAPEX, OPEX and the Statement of Cash Flow will be covered with the objective to equip students with a complete knowledge in the development, measurement, validation and communication of accounting information to both internal and external parties as well as the application of these information for business decisions.
