Programme Objective
This course aims to explore to what extent gastronomy, including wine and culinary arts in general contributes to enhance areas with already established or potential tourism attraction. It will give students the opportunity to analyse the differences as well as synergies created by the combination of gastronomic reputation and the attractiveness of tourism sites. Using local and overseas examples will be the approach to systematically establish a set of conditions and constraints under which such combination meets the criteria for successful implementation.
