Hotel Management Year 2 Students successfully raised MOP 217,000 through Macao Idol Charity Gala Dinner for Action Oasis organised by Chinese Educators Association of Macau. The cheque presentation was held on 16 June 2011. On behalf of IFT, Acting President Ms. Florence Ian and student representatives presented the donation to Mr. Lei Pui Lam, President of the Chinese Educators Association of Macau and Ms. Ho Sio Kam, Director of the Chinese Educators Association of Macau.

On 7 December, the Red Cross of Macao received a heart-warming donation of MOP 44,500.10 from the Tourism Retail and Marketing Management Year 2 students of IFT. The money was raised for the Qinghai Yushu earthquake victims for rebuilding their community. The successful fundraising campaign included: “CHEERS!” Wine Charity Event – and “A Bag for Love” – a charity bag-selling event.

Student Union organised a donation activity for the mud-rock flow victims in Zhouqu, Gansu in December 2010.

The Tourism and Event Management Year 3 students from IFT held a charity event named “Earth play for a day” on 27 November 2010.

Heritage Club of Student Union together with Caritas Macau, hosted a “Family Heritage Tour” on 28 November 2010. Caritas has arranged 20 single-parent families to join the activity.

Event Management Year 4 Students organised the IFT Go-Kart Charity Event on 28 May 2011. The event turned out an exciting and meaningful competition and raised MOP70,000.00 for ORBIS Macau

In an attempt to help the earthquake victims in Haiti, IFT Student Union held a charity chocolate-selling event on the Valentine’s Day, 2010 and a fun contest called the Green Fashion Show Competition on 26 March 2010. All funds raised were donated to Haiti through Macau Red Cross.
