Target participants:

Current Form 4 to 6 students

Class size:

Average of 25 – 40 students per class; maximum of 30 students for language and service skills courses.

Medium of Instruction:

Cantonese or English

Duration:

12 hours

Course Fee:

No course fee is required

Assessment:

One-hour assessment at the end of each course (optional)

Certification:

Students who have completed the course and obtained a passing grade in the final assessment will receive a Course Completion Certificate. Students who have completed the course without taking the final assessment will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

Accreditation:

Two credit points (equivalent to 2% of total score) will be given to holders of each Course Completion Certificate.   Based on the number of Course Completion Certificates an individual holds, the accumulated points can be transferred to a maximum of 10 points (equivalent to 10% of total score) in admission examinations for Higher Diploma/ Bachelor Degree Programmes at IFT.

Venue & Set-up:

When the courses are held in the high school, the training venue including training equipment and printing of handouts are to be arranged by the respective school.  Normal classroom set-up with equipped computer, projector, A/V equipments and writing board will be required by all courses and an addition of table utensils for Western and Chinese Restaurant Service Skills courses.
